The experience
The MK Pop-Up Buffet Experience is a curated food journey that celebrates Ghanaian cuisine in one space.
We bring indigenous dishes originating from all 16 regions of Ghana together so that guests can taste the country at the center of Accra and iconic locations in Ghana and beyond. Each pop-up is more than a meal. It’s cultural immersion, storytelling, and heritage on a plate.
MK Buffet Experience - Dubai
This December, Chef Maamle brings the soul of Ghanaian cuisine to Dubai. A hands-on, immersive experience of flavour, culture, and storytelling, set against one of the world's most spectacular cities. A limited number of guests. A once-in-a-year table.

Six editions so far
Where the table has traveled.
Each edition takes the pop-up somewhere new: an island, a riverside, a yacht, with the food of all sixteen regions at its heart.
In April 2024, the Buffet Xperience took to the estuary. A long table dressed on the open sand, woven baskets of Ghanaian dishes under a thatched canopy, with boat rides on the lagoon, horseback on the shore, and the river meeting the sea.

In December 2024, the Buffet Xperience landed on the island at Ada Foah. Plates of jollof and grilled favourites served by the water, palm trees overhead and sand underfoot, where the Volta meets the sea.

In April 2025, the Buffet Xperience moved to the riverside. Clay bowls of indigenous dishes on a deck above the water, palm-lined banks, boat rides on the river, and even a brush with its wildlife.

Last November, the MK Buffet Xperience set sail across Dubai Marina. A private yacht, the city skyline glittering behind us, and a full spread of Ghanaian dishes served under the stars, with guests flying in from Accra to share the table on the water.

In December 2025, the Buffet Xperience climbed to Akosombo. A long table of indigenous dishes wrapped in leaves and served in clay, a hilltop view over the green valley, and the whole crew together at the top.

In May 2026, the Buffet Xperience came home to Greater Accra for Taste Ghana: forty dishes from all sixteen regions on one table, servers in full kente, cooking demonstrations, and a celebration of the country's regional cuisines.
